Vintage Mystery Scattergories

Once again it's time to start thinking about Reading Challenges for the new year.  And once again I am sponsoring the Vintage Mystery Reading Challenge.  The theme is "Scattergories" and if you hop on the link you can read up on the complete rules and see what categories are available.  Minimum commitment for the full ride is 8 books in 8 diifferent categories.  I'm quite sure that I'll be doing more than 8 books.  I may get a little crazy (crazier...) and see if I can do at least one from each category.

*I had to do at least three academic mysteries--both because that's a weakness of mine and because my good friends, John from Pretty Sinister Books, was so generous and gave me the Philip Wylie book AND Sergio from Tipping My Fedora was also generous and gave me the White book, and they need to be read!
***(No, I don't think I"m over-doing it.  Why do you ask?) .
