Teaser Tuesdays

MizB of Should Be Reading hosts Teaser Tuesdays. Anyone can play along. Just do the following:

*Grab your current read.

*Open to a random page.
*Share two "teaser" sentences from somewhere on that page.
*BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! You don't want to spoil the book for others.
*Share the title and author too, so other TT participants can add it to their TBR lists if they like your teaser

Here's mine from The Vanishing Act of Esme Lennox by Maggie O'Farrell:

Her body sways like a branch in the wind and her stockinged feet pass over the carpet very lightly. Her is so full of the tune and the cool swish of silk that she doesn't hear the people coming up the stairs, she doesn't hear anything.

It may just be me, but that teaser sounds a bit ominous... nice choice!

If you'd like, you can check out my teaser here.

Lovely scene! But it does sound like something dangerous is about to happen. Good teaser!
