August Give-Away #1: That Day in September

As promised, the remaining weeks of August are going to have one Give-Away after another. First up in the My Reader's Block August Give-Away Bonanza:

That Day in September by Artie Van Why

Synopsis (from the back of the book): We all have our stories to tell of where we were the morning of September 11, 2001. This is one of them. In That Day in September Artie Van Why giv
es an eyewitness account of that fateful morning. From the moment he heard "a loud boom" in his office across from the World Trade Center, to stepping out onto the street, Artie vividly transports the reader back to the day that changed our lives and our country forever.

This was an absolutely wonderful book that Artie Van Why sent me for review. I loved it. I was touched by it. I'd like you to have the chance to be touched by it as well. So...if you would like the opportunity to win this lovely little memoir, please comment below with your email address. Entries will be accepted through midnight on Sunday, August 21 and a winner will be selected by random number generator on Monday. The winner will have 48 hours to respond to an email to claim their prize. You do not have to be a follower to enter and international entries are welcome.

If you would like to know a bit more about the book, please see my review HERE.

************
AND--keep in mind that there is a BIG 300 Follower Appreciation Give-Away being planned as I blog. This give-away will be open only to followers prior to post date. If I happen to reach 400 followers before the post goes up, the prizes will increase--either in number or value. Still working on the details.

I was in a school library on Ft. Bragg on 9-11 and my husband was in Washington set to tour the Pentagon. I will never forget that day. I would love to win this book. I've already added it to my to be read list.

I was still quite young when this happened, so it would be good for me to read this, know more about what happened and how it affected people.

I can remember being at work when a co-worker came rushing in and telling everyone about the 9/11 attacks and how horrified we all were.

Yet as with most people we just could not stop watching the TV coverage of the event.

I imagine there are still a great many people in the US we are severly traumatised by the events.

I have not read any books on the subject but have watched quite a few TV prgrams on it.

I would be interested in reading this book.
Thanks.

I was a high school junior on Sept 11. It was so scary. I now teach juniors in that exact same room that I was in. Many students don't know about it very much these days. What a great book. Thanks for the chance to win.
